The 48th Horizontal Coordination of Notified Bodies for Personal Protective Equipment (HCNB PPE) meeting was held online on November 13-14, 2025.
HCNB PPE, which provides the coordination of notified bodies within the scope of the European Union Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (PPE Regulation – EU 2016/425), is one of the most important cooperation platforms in the sector. The meeting brought together representatives of the European Commission, notified bodies and technical experts to discuss current issues related to PPE certification processes, standards and practices.
The agenda of the two-day meeting included important topics such as Module C2 and Module D procedures, version 5 of the new PPE Regulation Guide (October 2025), recommendations for use (RfU) and categorization of PPE for protection against molten metal. In addition, the results of the European Commission PPE Expert Group meeting and ADCO reports were shared.
