Emre Metin, Technical and Assurance Director of USB Certification, attended the 47th HCNB PPE (Personal Protective Equipment Notified Bodies Coordination Group) meeting held in Barcelona, Spain on 13-14 May 2025. In this meeting, where the leading Notified Bodies of the sector came together, technical and managerial developments in the field of personal protective equipment were discussed comprehensively.
On the first day of the meeting, closed sessions focused on critical technical issues such as RfU documents, new approval procedures and remote sampling, while on the second day, open sessions were organized by the European Commission and industry stakeholders to share recent developments such as sustainability and PFAS restrictions. New IMERA (Internal Market Emergency and Resilience Act) regulations and priorities for crisis management in personal protective equipment were also discussed.
The meeting also emphasized the need for discussions with the relevant ministries to increase the cooperation of Notified Bodies in our country. As USB Certification, we will continue to contribute to the development of the industry. The next HCNB PPE meeting will take place online in November 2025 and face-to-face in Copenhagen in May 2026.
