What protects a laboratory’s accreditation is not its instrument park but its ability to demonstrate the accuracy of its results independently. A proficiency testing plan is therefore not an administrative task carried out at the start of the year, but a technical decision that keeps your scope standing.

The DRRR GmbH (Deutsches Referenzbüro für Ringversuche und Referenzmaterialien) Consumer Goods and Packaging 2026 Product Catalogue has been released. Registration is now open for the 2026 proficiency testing (PT) rounds across a broad field, covering everything from food contact materials (FCM) and toys to cosmetics, disinfectants and e-cigarettes. Reference materials matching the programmes in the catalogue are available from the same source.

As USB Certification, we are the authorised representative of DRRR in Turkey, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria and Romania. DRRR is a proficiency testing provider accredited by DAkkS and A2LA under ISO/IEC 17043:2023. It organises more than 1,100 proficiency tests per year and produces its reference materials in accordance with ISO Guide 31 and 35.

What Does the 2026 Catalogue Cover?

The catalogue is grouped under six main headings. You can read selectively, picking the matrices that match your own accreditation scope.

1. Food Contact Materials (FCM)

Plastics & plastic film: Overall migration (EN 1186-3/-13), specific migration (EN 13130 series: bisphenols A/B/F/S/AF, metals, primary aromatic amines, melamine, caprolactam, ethylene/diethylene glycol), SVHC & NIAS screening, MOSH/MOAH, phthalates, PAH, PFAS, contaminants in recycled PET, microplastics and multilayer film identification.

Paper & board: Mineral oil (MOSH/MOAH) and its migration, PFAS and PFAS migration, formaldehyde (EN 1541), primary aromatic amines (EN 17163), phthalates (EN 16453), colour fastness (EN 646 / EN 648), pH (ISO 6588).

Printing inks: Migration of ink components, photoinitiators & monomers.

Kitchenware: Ceramics (EN 1388-1), enamel (ISO 4531), lead and cadmium release from glass (ASTM C927-80), metal release from metals & alloys, Al release from aluminium foil, Cr(VI) in metallic coatings.

Rubber: Overall and specific migration, PAH, N-nitrosamines, organotin compounds, phthalates, SCCP/MCCP.

2. Products with Body Contact

Cosmetics: Heavy metals (ISO 21392), preservatives, UV filters, PAH, mineral oil, allergenic fragrance compounds, phthalates, PFAS, microbiological challenge test.

Leather & footwear: Azo dye amines (ISO 17234-1/-2), Cr(VI), formaldehyde (ISO 17226-1), PFAS (ISO 23702-1), DMFu (ISO 16186), DMF (ISO 16189), bisphenols (ISO 11936).

Textiles: Azo amines (ISO 14362-1/-3), formaldehyde (ISO 14184-1), phthalates (ISO 14389), extractable metals (EN 16711-1/-2), PAH (EN 17132), PFAS (EN 17681-1 and solvent extraction), antibacterial activity (ISO 20743, AATCC 90/100/147).

Toys: Element release (EN 71-3), finger paints (EN 71-7, EN 71-12), plasticiser migration (EN 71-10/-11), preservatives (EN 71-17), lead, cadmium and phthalates by CPSC methods.

Tattoo ink & jewellery: Aromatic amines, elements, PAH, N-nitrosamines. For jewellery, also nickel release (EN 1811), lead & cadmium.

3. Cleaning Agents & Disinfectants

Bactericidal (EN 13727 / EN 1276, EN 17387 / EN 13697), yeasticidal (EN 13624 / EN 1650), mycobactericidal (EN 14348), sporicidal (EN 17126) and virucidal (EN 14476) activity programmes; wipe 4-field test (EN 16615). Organic acids, oxidising agents, acidic and alkaline cleaners and hygienic rinse aids are also within scope.

4. E-Cigarettes

Determination of nicotine, propylene glycol and glycerol in e-cigarette liquids (ISO 20714).

5. Organoleptic (Sensory) Analysis

Sensory analysis is one of DRRR’s areas of expertise: FCM sensory testing (DIN 10955), paper & board sensory analysis (EN 1230), off-taste and off-odour threshold examination.

6. Microbiology

Surface tests (Enterobacteriaceae, Listeria, mould, aerobic count, Salmonella swab), microbial load in canned food, determination and identification of microorganisms in cosmetics, transfer of antimicrobial components in paper (EN 1104), antibacterial efficacy in textiles.

2026 Focus: PFAS

PFAS restrictions under the EU POP Regulation and REACH are expanding, and the demand reaches laboratories as PFAS measurement in new matrices. The 2026 catalogue therefore offers PFAS proficiency tests and reference materials across plastic, paper/board, textile, leather, cosmetic and impregnation-agent matrices. Through these programmes you can independently demonstrate your PFAS testing capability, including TF/TOF (total fluorine / total organic fluorine).
